National Tourism Day

Tour in Your Own Backyard In Celebration of National Tourism Day and the 350th Anniversary of Chowan County, Historic Edenton State Historic Site will provide complimentary tours of the 1886 Roanoke River Lighthouse from 10 am – 4 pm and refreshments will be available at the Visitor Center – 108 N Broad Street

Complimentary Guided Trolley Tours will also be available at 10:30 am; 11:30 am; 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm on a first come first serve basis. These tours begin at the Penelope Barker House Welcome Center at 505 South Broad Street 252-482-7800.

Edenton Harbor will have kayaks and stand up paddle boards available at no cost for those that would like to paddle Queen Anne or Pembroke Creek from 10 am – 4 pm.

The Edenton Chowan Chamber and Chowan County Tourism Office will have lite refreshments from 10 am – 4 pm at 101 W Water Street.
